Privacy Policy — Prompt Motion

How Prompt Motion handles generator requests, notification emails, usage events, browser storage, and privacy choices.

Last updated: 2026-10-26

1. Scope and responsibility

This policy covers Prompt Motion, including its public example library, prompt Remix tool, guides, downloads, and generator interest form. The operator of Prompt Motion is responsible for this processing and can be reached at contact@promptmotion.io. Read this policy alongside our Terms of Service.

The library is available in English. You do not need an account to browse, copy prompts, or download original studies. The generator is not yet available. The current library flow does not collect payment details, uploaded generation assets, or prompts for execution by an AI model.

2. Information you submit

The generator interest form stores:

  • Your selected need: a prompt, editable source, a finished download, or generation.
  • An optional use-case description, limited to 1,000 characters.
  • The page language, source area (gallery, example detail, guide, or Remix), and relevant example identifier when present.
  • A random submission identifier, submission time, and notification choice.
  • Your email and the consent version only when you provide an address and explicitly agree to generator notifications. To submit without notifications, leave the email blank and the checkbox unselected.

We use these details to evaluate demand and plan improvements. If you opt in, your email is for generator testing and availability messages. This is not a general newsletter subscription, a promise of access, or a completed generation request. We do not send your description or email to a generation model, use them to train one, or publish them in the library.

Do not include sensitive information, passwords, API keys, or private client materials. If you contact us, we may also retain correspondence needed to respond.

3. Library usage events

Our first-party statistics record example opens, video playback reaching at least two seconds, successful prompt copies, resource-link clicks, searches and searches with no results, generator-button visibility and opens, and Remix page opens, first edits, successful copies, and download clicks. Events include the source area, relevant example identifier, event time, an applicable count such as the number of search results, and a random browser-tab session identifier.

Remix assembles prompts in your browser. Its copy, color, format, timing, and free-text direction inputs are not sent to our server or an AI provider. They are not saved unless you enable “Remember my edits in this browser”; when enabled, they are stored locally for the matching starting point until cleared in Remix or removed in your browser. Copying writes the result to your clipboard; downloading saves a Markdown file to your device. Remix events contain no input or output text.

These events do not include search text, copied prompt text, your form description, or notification email. Feedback and events are stored separately; form submissions do not include the tracking session identifier. The event identifier is not a name or email, but this does not mean the records are necessarily fully anonymous.

Currently, library events can run before you make a cookie-banner choice, or when no banner is enabled. They stop when your browser's Do Not Track setting is reported as “1” or a rejected cookie choice is stored. Closing a banner or leaving it unanswered does not stop them. These controls do not prevent processing needed to operate the site or accept a form you choose to submit.

4. Browser storage and choices

| Storage | Purpose | Duration | | ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Theme preference in local storage | Remember light, dark, or system appearance | Until changed or cleared in your browser | | Remix edits in local storage, when enabled | Restore unfinished inputs for one starting point | Until cleared in Remix or removed in your browser | | motion-session in session storage | Group library events within a browser-tab session | Normally until the tab session ends or storage is cleared; browser session restoration may preserve it | | cookie_consent, when a choice is saved | Remember acceptance or rejection | Up to 365 days, unless replaced or deleted sooner |

You can remove cookies and site storage in your browser settings and enable Do Not Track to stop library events. Clearing an identifier or closing a tab does not delete server records. Clearing a rejected cookie choice also removes that opt-out, so events may resume unless Do Not Track remains enabled. When a cookie banner is available, selecting Reject stops subsequent library events; it does not delete previously saved information.

5. Technical information and optional integrations

Our server and hosting providers receive technical information needed to serve pages, videos, downloads, and form requests. This can include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser or request headers, timestamps, and errors. Form and event endpoints also use IP-based rate limiting against abuse. IP addresses are not fields in the feedback or event records, but may occur in infrastructure logs and temporary rate-limit records.

The website supports optional, operator-configured Google Analytics or Plausible traffic measurement, Google AdSense advertising, and Crisp or Tawk.to support chat. Their presence depends on active configuration; this policy does not mean all are enabled. If enabled, providers may receive request and usage information and use their own cookies or identifiers. Chat providers also receive what you type into the widget. We do not supply generator feedback descriptions or notification emails to these analytics or advertising integrations.

Community examples from X load author avatars and video posters directly from X's media servers. Video files load when you hover with previews enabled or open an example. Those requests disclose your IP address and request headers to the media provider, even without visiting X. Disabling hover previews stops automatic video playback; it does not block avatars, posters, or a video you open. The original-post links take you to X under its own policies.

The library-event opt-out is not a universal control for these services. With the cookie banner enabled, AdSense loading waits for acceptance. Google Analytics loads with storage consent denied until acceptance and may still send requests without consented storage. Plausible and support chat are not controlled by the library's Do Not Track or rejected-cookie check. Browser blocking settings offer additional controls. Rejecting library events does not block all network requests.

6. Purposes and processing grounds

We process submissions to receive and understand product needs, technical information to deliver and secure the service, and usage events to understand which resources help visitors. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, providing a requested service and our legitimate interests in operating, protecting, and improving the library may support necessary processing, subject to your rights. Optional generator notifications rely on explicit consent. Storage or measurement that legally requires consent must rely on the required permission; agreement to the Terms is not a substitute.

You can browse and download without submitting feedback or requesting notifications. Declining notifications does not affect access. Withdrawing notification consent does not invalidate processing that lawfully took place before withdrawal.

7. Access, sharing, and external websites

Feedback and events are stored in the site's database without a public reading endpoint. Access is intended for authorized operators and providers needed to host, store, secure, and maintain the service. A notification delivery provider may process your opted-in address when a message is sent. We do not sell generator submissions or notification addresses, rent the email list, or share it for unrelated direct marketing.

Information may also be disclosed when legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect legal rights. Hosting, storage, and delivery providers may process information in countries other than yours; applicable transfer safeguards are required where the law calls for them. We do not promise storage in a single country.

External links lead to services with their own policies. Copying a prompt only writes text to your clipboard; it does not call an AI provider. If you later paste text or add your own materials to an external tool, that tool's data handling applies. Downloaded files and copies you make remain under your control.

8. Retention and security

Current feedback and event records have no automatic expiry or scheduled deletion; they remain until manually removed. Continued retention is assessed by whether a request remains relevant to product planning, notification consent remains active, identifiable event details remain needed for analysis or security, or legal duties require preservation. Browser-storage durations do not set server deletion deadlines. We do not promise automatic deletion after a fixed number of days.

When identifiable information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or de-identified. Withdrawal and deletion requests require manual handling, proportionate verification, and consideration of lawful retention requirements. Hosting logs and backups may follow separate provider retention cycles; deleting an active record does not necessarily remove every backup immediately.

We use access restrictions and request validation to reduce unauthorized access and abuse. No website, transmission method, or storage system guarantees absolute security.

9. Your rights and withdrawal

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw generator notification consent at any time by emailing contact@promptmotion.io. Provide the email used and enough context to locate the submission. The library has no self-service deletion or unsubscribe page; requests require manual handling. We may ask for proportionate verification, not unnecessary identity documents.

For events without an email, we may be unable to locate records without the browser-tab identifier and approximate activity time. We will not collect extra identifying information solely to identify otherwise unlinked events. You may also complain to the data protection authority with jurisdiction over your situation. Applicable law determines rights, exceptions, and response deadlines.

10. Children and updates

The library is intended for a general adult audience, not children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can consent to personal-data processing where you live, do not submit personal information without any legally required parental permission. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.

We will update this policy when information practices change and show the revision date above. A future generator, account feature, or paid offering requires appropriate additional disclosures before collecting its data, and new consent where required.

11. Contact

For privacy questions, notification withdrawal, corrections, deletion requests, or concerns about children's information, email contact@promptmotion.io. Send only the information needed to locate and address your request.
